The Barnes Firm Teams Up with Los Angeles Trial Lawyers Charities and the Los Angeles Police Department for a Volunteer Toy Drive

Leading up to Christmas 2021, The Barnes Firm decided to team with with Los Angeles Trial Lawyers’ Charities (LATLC) once again — this time in tandem with the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD).

Together, the team of personal injury experts led by managing attorney John Sheehan volunteered their time and effort to help gather hundreds of toy donations to support underprivileged children during the holiday season.

The firm’s generous gesture in packing several bags of toys even prompted a visit from Santa Claus! Together, The Barnes Firm and LATLC were able to help families all across Los Angeles enjoy the spirit of the holidays.

The Barnes Firm Proudly Supports LATLC’s "Day of Dignity"

On September 21st, LATCL joined Venice Family and Clinic and The Power of a Shower to host its very first “Day of Dignity” for the homeless. They spent the entire morning and afternoon providing personal services to the homeless. LATLC offered haircuts, nail care, clothing, and more. Venice Family and Clinic provided medical and dental assistance and The Power of a Shower provided showers to the local homeless.

LATCL invited all attendees to their two booths, where they handed out goodie bags with items like shampoo, conditioner, socks donated by BOMBAS, hand sanitizer, toothbrush kits, and more!

With John Sheehan and the other LATLC Board of Director’s generous support, Day of Dignity was able to serve 4,500 homeless people.

Whether it is helping the local community through sponsorships or volunteer services, The Barnes Firm personal injury attorneys are always willing to give back to the California community!

The Barnes Firm Giving Back at LATLC – “Miracle on 34th Street”

On December 3, 2022, the 7th Annual LATLC Holiday event returned to St. Patrick’s Church for another “Miracle on 34th Street.” Partners of the event, LAPD’s Newton Division and the Los Angeles Fire Department were able to provide more than 2,100 toys, household items, and groceries to 500 South Los Angeles families. Each family was selected by the LAPD and local community groups. This year, families were able to select the groceries they needed, and children happily picked out their own toys!

The event included a petting zoo, a candy area, and balloon twisters. Children also wrote their holiday wishes on heart-shaped cards for Lovey. And of course, a visit from Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus.

Los Angeles Managing Attorney, John Sheehan and Senior Trial Lawyer, Angela Belty attended and volunteered at this years event. As passionate and committed attorneys to the Los Angeles community, they were able to come together to support the underprivileged families for the holiday season. This inspiring and unforgettable experience is something that The Barnes Firm holds dear to their hearts.

The Barnes Firm is proud to give back to our local holiday charities this season. We have chosen to donate to several organizations that aid in helping those in need this holiday season. Our donations will go towards providing meals, clothing, toys and other necessities to those in need. We are proud to be able to contribute to the well-being of our local community and to help those in need.
